Lucky you – Two Job Offers!

Hello [NAME]

You have been doing the rounds of interviews for a number of jobs and you find that, at the end of the process, you are fortunate to have two jobs offers – the problem now is which one do you accept?

The best way to decide on which job you should accept is to think about where you want to be in the future. Think about what you would like to be doing?; where you would like to be located?; how much you would like to be earning and what position you would like to see yourself doing after five years? This means that you need to think about your career in the long term. This first job needs to provide you with the necessary skills and experience to get you to that position in 5 years time. Review both jobs and think about what skills, experience and opportunities they could provide you with and consider which offers the strongest investment in terms of your skills and experience.

Your dilemma may be that one job pays more than the other - the one that pays the higher salary does not offer as much in terms of training and experience. But you need the money now........ The tip is to think of the long term and what you want to achieve. Talk to both companies and maybe you can persuade the company paying the higher salary to offer more in terms of training and development. If not, it’s over to you to decide whether you want to achieve short or long term gain.

Best of luck!
