Christmas Tip Hello [NAME]
My last tip for 2007 is one that you probably think that you have heard a hundred times before. It’s the one thing that every book, every tutor, every friend, parent, sister, brother will tell you to do. But at this time of year it is particular important as, if you do it now, you will be able to reap the rewards in January. The tip is – Be Prepared. The reason for giving this tip now is that from the end of November and most of December most companies will not advertise their vacancies because statistics show that this is the time when the least number of people apply for jobs. Which means that as soon as we hit January, there will be a bumper selection of jobs available. So get organised before you go off on the Christmas break and have your CV ready; your diary to hand for all those interviews that you will need to book in and ensure you buy a brand new suit in the sales. Start applying for jobs as soon as you can in the New Year and hopefully your next piece of preparation will be organising your first day at work. So from all of us at Resourcing Matters we wish you a very happy Christmas and a prosperous and successful 2008.
